Please read these Terms of Service (collectively with Far From Home's Privacy Policy located at https://www.womenfarfromhome.org/privacy. (“Far From Home”, “we”, “us” or “our”) (together with the Community Membership, the “Services”). These Terms of Service set forth the legally binding terms and conditions of your Far From Home Community Membership and Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and participation in Far From Home, a faith-rooted online community offering connection, reflection, story-based engagement, and supportive presence for women living far from their country of origin (the “Community”).
By joining, accessing, or participating in Far From Home—whether through memberships, community spaces, courses, events, written content, or live gatherings—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
2. Nature of the Community
Far From Home is a faith-rooted, story-centered community offering connection, reflection, and supportive presence.
Far From Home is not therapy, counseling, clinical mental-health treatment, crisis intervention, medical care, or legal advice. Participation in the Community does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, pastoral-care, fiduciary, or professional services relationship.
Members are encouraged to seek independent professional or emergency support whenever needed.
3. Scope of Soul-Care & Facilitation
Soul-care givers, facilitators, moderators, and volunteers within Far From Home provide non-clinical, community-based care, which may include presence, attentive listening, reflection, and faith-based practices such as prayer when welcomed.
While some interactions may feel personal or one-to-one (including situations where only one participant is present or through written exchanges), all care offered within Far From Home remains supportive and non-therapeutic.
Soul-care givers do not provide diagnosis, treatment, crisis response, or professional mental-health services within the Community.
4. Personal Responsibility
By participating in Far From Home, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You are solely responsible for your own emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical wellbeing
• You choose what and how much you share within the Community
• Participation is voluntary, and you may pause or disengage at any time
Far From Home makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, healing, insight, or transformation resulting from participation.
5. Story Sharing & Confidentiality
Members are expected to treat all shared stories and personal content with dignity and care.
Members agree not to record, screenshot, copy, distribute, quote, or share another person’s story or identifying information outside the Community without explicit permission.
You acknowledge that confidentiality in an online group setting cannot be absolutely guaranteed. Far From Home reserves the right to disclose information if required by law or if there is a reasonable belief of imminent risk of harm to self or others.
6. Community Conduct & Safety
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, members agree to:
• Speak from personal experience rather than offering advice, diagnosis, or correction
• Refrain from fixing, rescuing, coercing, or pressuring others
• Engage with cultural, spiritual, and relational humility
• Respect boundaries, differences, and varying capacities
Far From Home reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to moderate content, restrict access, suspend participation, or terminate membership if behavior is deemed unsafe, harmful, disruptive, or inconsistent with the values and boundaries of the Community.
Such action may be taken with or without prior notice, and without refund.

Far From Home memberships may be offered on either a recurring monthly or annual basis.
Monthly Memberships - Monthly memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel your monthly membership at any time through your account settings. You may cancel your annual membership at any time; however, cancellation will prevent renewal at the end of the current annual term.
