You've come to the right place

Far From Home is more than a community — it is a virtual refuge

A place for women who are living — or have lived — far from their country of origin, in any season and for any reason.

Friend, We’re so glad you’re here.

Whether your journey has been shaped by choice, calling, or necessity, life across borders often carries both visible and unseen forms of grief. You don’t have to hold that alone.

Here, women gather around their Far From Home experiences — the beauty, the loss, the disorientation, the growth, and everything in between. Together, we are creating spaces where women can be seen, heard, and not alone.

This community is a place to rest. To reconnect.
To share stories across time zones and cultures.

Being far from home changes you — it takes space to process that.

Living far from home can be lonely, even when you’re surrounded by people. It carries beauty and grief. Strength and disorientation. Gratitude and loss. And not everyone understands what that tension feels like. You weren’t meant to navigate it on your own.

This community is place to be heard.
A place to hear others who “get it.”
A place to belong.

Course: Community Foundations

7 Lessons

This Community Foundations Course provides a shared foundation for participation in the Far From Home community. Through six short lessons, participants are introduced to the community’s purpose, values and agreements, participation expectations, and guidance for engaging responsibly and at an appropriate pace. Lessons are completed in order and may be revisited at any time.

Course: Real Women. Real Stories.

15 Lessons

This is not a traditional course to complete, but a listening space created to hold the Director’s Cut stories of women living far from home. This format allows room to pause, return, and engage at your own pace. Each story is accompanied by reflection questions, a blessing, and a personal note from the storyteller—inviting you to listen slowly, honor what surfaces, and sit gently with your own story along the way.

Course: What is Migrational Loss & Grief Anyways?

10 Lessons

What happens to our hearts when we live far from home? This course explores the often-unspoken grief of migration and offers language, reflection, and hope for women navigating life across cultures. Whether migration was chosen or forced, temporary or permanent, many women carry an ache they struggle to name. This course helps women understand, name, and normalize the grief and loss associated with migration.

FAQ section

Frequently asked questions

You've got questions. We've got answers.

Who is this community for?

This community is for women who are living — or have lived — outside their country of origin.

For example, this may include expats, immigrants, international students, missionaries, military spouses, global workers, or others whose lives have taken them across borders — whether for a season or long-term.

What connects this community is not the length of time, but the shared experience of relocating to build life, identity, and belonging in a place that is not your original home.

It’s a space for women navigating life between cultures — both abroad and after returning home — carrying the beauty and complexity of that experience, and longing for connection, understanding, and a place to belong.

This community is designed for women who are living — or have lived — outside their country of origin.
