A Personal Welcome

Watch to Hear the Heart Behind Far From Home

Far From Home is a faith-rooted nonprofit community for women who find themselves living far from home — whether by calling, assignment, or necessity. Born out of lived experience and a God-given vision, we exist to name the unseen grief of these journeys, offer spaces of connection, and remind women they are not alone.

Watch the video to hear why we exist, the vision God has stirred, and how you can be part of creating a place of belonging for women far from home.

NO WOMAN SHOULD CARRY THIS ALONE

Invisible Loss & Quiet Grief

The impact of navigating living far from home.

Living far from one’s homeland can stretch and strengthen a woman—but it also carries quiet losses that often go unnamed. When women relocate—by choice or necessity, for a season or a lifetime—they leave behind more than people and places. They grieve culture, language, familiar roles, rhythms of life, and a sense of belonging. Because this grief does not follow traditional patterns of loss, it is often invisible and easily overlooked.

These unseen losses affect the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. We exist to help women name what’s been hard, tend what’s been lost, and find belonging again—together.

Here AT Far From HomE

We Help Women Find Belonging Beyond Borders

ONE SACRED VISION

Two Powerful Pillars: Storytelling + Community

At Far From Home, we believe no woman should have to carry the hidden grief of living far from home alone. Our work is built on two pillars: Storytelling—giving language and voice to women’s journeys, and Community—creating spaces of belonging, healing, and restoration through our online gatherings and courses.

OUR MISSION

A Bold Response to Quiet Grief

We exists to support women navigating the complex grief and loss caused by relocation, restore belonging, and create faith-rooted, safe spaces where women can gather to share their stories, and find healing through faith and connection.

Here, both your strength and your struggle belong.

THE WHO

We welcome women across the globe navigating the emotional, relational, and spiritual impact of life far from home—missionaries, humanitarian workers, expats, relocated professionals, military spouses, international students, immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and women returning “home” after years abroad —each longing for belonging and sacred space to heal.

If living far from home has shaped you, this community is for you.

THE HOW

Simply putthrough community. Using technology, we’re creating an online space where women living far from home can gather across time zones and cultures, share their experiences, and remember they’re not alone. Here, connection replaces isolation as women find belonging through shared stories, guided courses, and live gatherings that nurture faith and hope.

Catch a glimpse of the community we’re building

We invite you into the heart of Far From Home 🌱—a preview of our film series that bring the Far From Home vision to life—real voices, real journeys, and real moments of courage. These films will be the first thing women see when they join our community—stories that whisper, “You’re not alone.”

And a glimpse of the virtual community taking shape, born from the courage of women who shared their journeys.

our next step

Help Us Launch Our Virtual Community

We believe no woman should have to carry grief alone.

This online refuge will offer belonging, healing, and hope for women living far from their country of origin. When distance and transition leave them feeling unseen, it will become a gentle landing place. Through guided courses and live gatherings—like Lament Circles, Creative Reflections, and Rhythms of Return—women will find rest, reflection, and restoration.

This community exists to remind women: they are not alone, and their story still matters.

Far From Home is 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit. All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your records.

Esperansita Bejnarowicz

Far From Home Founder - Instructor & Group Facilitator

“Having carried the hidden ache of living far from home myself as an expat, I am now passionate about helping women find language for their 'far from home' grief as the first step toward healing. I truly believe God sees us and weaves beauty and belonging even into the hardest journeys—both near and far from home.”

Tina Farist

Soul Care Partner - Somatic & Story Coach

"I create safe spaces for women to be witnessed and held in their loss and grief. I invite them back to their bodies through mindfulness practices, breathwork, felt experience and other healing modalities. I hold space for them to grieve and lament - inviting God into those often lonely spaces of hiding or survival. "

Bethany Robbins

Soul Care Partner - Story Coach & Group Facilitator

"I’ve lived across five U.S. cities and three countries—navigating languages, schools, cultures, and countless transitions. Along the way, I’ve learned to grieve well, lean into rituals, and embrace the beauty of building life in unexpected places. I look forward to supporting others through Far From Home!”
